WHAT ABOUT SINATRA?

My connection to Sinatra has been "special" since the day we met. His uncanny ability to somehow know just what I am thinking and do just the right thing before I ask has left me off balance on many occasions. This works in reverse as well - often, just the look on his face will let me know exactly what he wants. It's like we connect on some level other than the more obvious.

This webpage is all about Sinatra. If you spend time here, perhaps you'll begin to understand who Sinatra really is and why he's so special. Please visit here often.

SINATRA'S CALENDAR New!

Anita wishes to thank the Equestrian Shop in North Andover, Massachusetts for welcoming her to their booth at the Equine Affaire In Springfield on November 6-9. She says that it was wonderful to speak with children (and adults) about me and how my book evolved. She also says thanks to all who took the time to stop and say "hello". So, when will they invite me? Who's the star here, anyway?

Anita will be at the Equestrian Shop the Saturday (and possibly) Sunday after Thanksgiving to personally autograph copies of "What About Me?" She hopes to see you there! All right, so she wrote the book, but after all, it was me that she wrote about!

The Equine Journal and Yankee Pedlar have notified our publisher, Goose River Press, that reviews of "What About Me?" will be available in their December issues. I can't wait to see what they think of my story!

My book is now available at:

MOVIE CLIPS

Sinatra has no desire to be a movie star, but he enjoys it when I take videos to share with others. He will "ham it up" whenever he sees the camcorder in my hands. here are a few of the videos he's produced for you to see.

PHOTO ALBUM

We've put a few photos in a new photo album and will add to these as we take new ones (Sinatra loves me to take his picture). These photos should help you to know Sinatra better. Feel free to copy these for your personal use, but please do not use these photos on a website or distribute them to others without our permission (Sinatra is picky about where his photos show up).. Thanks. [Go to Sinatra's Photo Album]

December 31, 2004 Congratulations to Sinatra and his little rider Skyler Murray (pictured above), who together captured the Championship in the Leadline Suitability division for the North Shore Horseman's Association's 2004 show season. Skyler and Sinatra also placed 3rd overall in the series Leadline Equitation division.

Six year old Skyler is the daughter of Tammy and Bill Murray, owners of Mystical Stables in Raymond, NH. Skyler and Sinatra make a great team and I am sure in the years to come, the pair will enjoy their partnership together. In this photo, Skyler giggles when Sinatra decides he has to tell everyone at the show that he and his rider are having their photo taken! Congratulations Skyler!

SINATRA'S JOURNAL

As we've had a chance, Sinatra and I have jotted down the following brief "snapshots" of different times in his life. We hope you'll find them helpful.

March 15, 2005 Happy 6th Birthday to Sinatra! He celebrated by having a long grooming session, 1 lb. of "crots", 2 Granny Smith apples, and his favorite---Granny Smith apple JUICE. He can't wait to get back to work this spring after having the winter off, and looks forward to having his second book in the hands of his fans.

March 15, 2004 Sinatra celebrated his 5th Birthday today! He enjoyed having "Happy Birthday" sung to him, and especially enjoyed the frosting from his carrot cake which he shared with his friends.

Fall 2003 After spending the summer in Boxford where he gave a little confidence booster to some children (and enjoyed a lot of grass!) Sinatra headed for Windhaven Farm in Raymond, NH. The owners of Windhaven, Linda and Mark Kelley, are very happy to have Sinatra at their farm.

At Windhaven, Sinatra loves very small children riding him. (I am not kidding-- he has a 2 yr. old that rides him!) He is also being ridden by a young lady who is preparing him for the show ring. Sinatra's full brother, Greysmoke, was 5th at pony finals this year! (congrats to the folks in Texas!)

Sinatra gets lots and lots and LOTS of attention and is very happy in his new home! In late October, Sinatra and I enjoyed a "read-a-loud" sponsored by Windhaven. You can view clips of this event, and see how much Sinatra appreciated his audience!

May 2003 After a long winter, Sinatra now lives in Boxford, MA with a family who have 3 children, 2 other horses, dogs, cats, and goats. Sinatra really likes the goats! He is starting back up after hanging out most of the winter and is looking forward to the "surprise" that is in store for his fans.

August 2002 Sinatra continues to learn quickly and now picks up both leads easily. He has jumped flowers boxes, little gates, and thinks cross rails are a lot of fun. Now and then, we canter on the racetrack together. Check out Sinatra's latest video....He is a very happy pony!

April 24, 2002 Sinatra - In his second show, Sinatra was first and second in his classes with a walk/trot rider. He is cantering and doing some small x-rails! Also - he has lunged over a small wall and shows that his form over fences is a 12. Sinatra is looking toward a long career as a winning medium pony hunter!

March 17, 2002 Sinatra celebrated his birthday weekend by cantering under saddle and going on a trail ride. He led the way and is very quiet outside! He points his toes at the canter and it is a solid 10 - quite beautiful. Despite the fact that he is young and green, his wonderful temperament (it is quite unbelievable) makes him suitable for a young child involved in a show barn.

March 3, 2002 Sinatra competed in his first show winning both the walk trot equitation, and beginner pleasure classes! Happy Birthday to Sinatra who will turn 3 on the 15th!

November 10, 2001 Sinatra now long lines and lunges. He also is being "lead lined" with a child on him. Later this year, Sinatra will be on his own with a child rider. This 10 mover coming 3 yr. old medium is a solid citizen and an absolute delight to work with!

July, 2001 Sinatra has been backed a couple of times under tack since early July! Before the month is finished, Sinatra will have a child on him as we lead him around....Sinatra will be 2 1/2 in September!

GF Lone Ranger Reg. 1/2 Welsh 2 1/2 yr. medium pony gelding out of Cloe Olympic Joy. "Sinatra" (he has two blue eyes) is a 10 mover, has great conformation, and a disposition that makes him a joy to be around. "Sinatra" is now happy to wearing a saddle! Soon he will be backed and ready to be a nice project for short stirrup. Great investment.
